Hot crushes

Ok, there's about 30 minutes left of my work Friday, but in my mind it's already the weekend. I just read a review of Mark Wahlberg's latest movie, Shooter in Salon and I am reminded of just how much I like him. So to celebrate the beginning of the weekend, I thought I'd scour around on the internets and find you ladies (and men) some photos of men I find HOT. It's also finally much warmer around these parts with temps due to enter the 20s next week - woohoo!!

Marky Mark - Mmmmm. Did I tell you how excited I am about the new Entourage episodes airing from April 8??

Now I've been a fan of Christian Bale ever since I saw Empire of the Sun. He just gets hotter and hotter.

I have NEVER EVER been a fan of Leonardo DiCaprio, but after seeing the Departed I was surprised about how hot he was (in the movie). He's always looked like such a baby, but now I might have to rethink my list. He has a temporary position in the list until he can back up his new grown up man looks with another movie.

Previous teen crushes include River Phoenix and F1 racing car driver, Ayrton Senna.

So what actors/actresses do you think are hot? Share! Share! I'm totally sure I've forgotten some of my favourites. Well there's only 10 minutes of my shift left now - sweet!

Hope you all have a great weekend and that spring is headed your way (if you are in the northern hemisphere that is)!!!

Hello Happy Spring!

Ok to be honest it's freezing in Tokyo. We had a glimpse of spring a couple of weeks back but since then it's just gotten plain cold. I figure this is winter's last hurrah, so there is hope on the horizon. Just look at the happy new spring banner that Darin designed for me - it makes me smile every time I look at it.

I haven't been posting lately because to be honest...I haven't been knitting. I did knit a pair of socks and two pairs of slippers for my host family in Aomori (didn't take photos - silly me) and I knit the upside down daisy hat from Itty Bitty Hats for one of my students who gave birth to her baby girl last Thursday. Didn't take a photo of that either. Bad blogger I am.

There is hope on the horizon though like I said because I will eventually finish that silly pentagon shrug from Vogue Knitting and the cherry blossoms are due to bloom soon adding a lot of pink happiness to our lives. To be honest I actually prefer when the petals fall off the trees and the whole park turns green actually!!!

Here's some recent photos:

Yuko from Jap Kobo performing a song. The hair was amazing. Her voice was Kate Bush-esque. And if you take a quick look at the guitar player sitting next to her he is also amazing.

The Ume (plum blossoms) have ended now, but here were some pretty ones in our park

And here's the mini Days Burger from Pancake Days in Kichijoji. It's so tiny and cute. You must try it some time. Yes, it's a hamburger with pancakes for bread.

How's spring in your part of the world? No need to answer if you are from the southern hemisphere. I don't want to hear about sunshine or warm weather. Just yet.

C'mon Aussie C'mon C'mon

The Stella McCartney range for Target was released in Australia this morning.

It was mayhem.

Stella3000

I'm glad I wasn't there. I experience enough of this kind of sale frenzy at our work sales. It gives me a headache. It really makes you wonder. I mean every woman and their dog is now gonna be wearing your amazing Stella piece. Was it really worth it? I liked the collection, but not this much. There were really only a couple of pieces that I would have bought and with prices mostly between $80 to $200, the stuff wasn't even cheap. Am sure there will be plenty of pieces available on Ebay Australia any minute now.

Had to add these quotes from the SMH (I was laughing out loud at work reading them and envisioning the situation):

"We ended up amongst the men's shorts stripping off and trying on things with abandonment, much to the amazement of a few men shoppers.

"At one point I realized I was standing in my bra and pants right in the middle of Target!"
