Well I got home last night and there was a little slip waiting for me at the door saying that someone (a very nice person) had tried to deliver my rowan yarn. Damn I had missed them. Luckily for me the Japanese package delivery system is very flexible. It was 6:53pm and if I called before 7pm, they could redeliver that same day between 9pm and 12am - never have my fingers dialled a number so quickly.
So, it's here. I love the feel of the All Seasons Cotton, but to be honest I couldn't wait to pull out my crochet hook to start on Lola (featured on the cover of Rowan mag 35). I haven't crocheted for a few weeks and the withdrawal symptoms were setting in. However, I soon realized that I needed a bigger hook. I know a lot of knitters don't crochet and it's a somewhat 'dirty' word, but I kind of really enjoy it. I love the rhythm, counting the chains and easy-to-achieve 'net' effect. There's gonna be a couple of full-on crafty weeks ahead.
Projects to complete:
Lola from Rowan mag 35
Pia from Rowan mag 35
cute Japanese cap sleeve top
finish handsewing sequins and beads on my white sari
ps this morning my train was 19 minutes L.A.T.E - this never happens in Japan!!
