A model of Edo (old Tokyo) at the Tokyo-Edo Museum in Ryogoku (there was a pretty big earthquake while we were there - everyone stopped in their tracks - literally)
the edo-tokyo museum is one of my favorites - i always take visitors there. it's also close to sumo stables and a few allow you to watch practise sessions free of charge.
