So as you may have noticed I am taking part in the Stitch Ya Neck Out swap organized by Jacqueline and Kris. I have been waiting patiently for the yarn to arrive from my pal who I will be knitting for. Well......it arrived!
Here is the Rown Designer DK Wool I will be using to knit Miss Twiss's turtleneck shrug
It's a great blue-greyish colour and I think it'll perfect. I've never knit with this type of Rowan yarn so that'll be fun. But wait - that was not everything in my package. Here's the rest of my haul:
A fantastic silver leather flower pin in the top right hand corner and below that is the coolest 'make your own glam t' kit put together by Miss Twiss herself. I am SO excited to embellish and cut up my tee! Thanks Miss Twiss - this is the most perfect present for me! Now the last package contains different colours of fleece tied up. I am not exactly sure what I am meant to do with this, BUT there are flowers drawn on the plastic bag, so I think I am meant to make a flower. Am I right? It all makes sense now that I know Miss Twiss is a fashion designer and sewing teacher!
Wow, today I was reminded why it is so much fun to participate in swaps. I can't wait to cast on for the shrug. It'll be perfect Tokyo train knitting. Now I just have to finish reading the latest Harry Potter - that book is just way too heavy to be carrying around on my commute!
hey lady :) I am so in awe of your knitting motivation! My lovely rowan burnt orange cardigan is on the backburner! What is wrong with me? I just can't get my projects finished! I think it's because I am still such a knitting novice, therefore it takes a great deal of concentration to knit even the simplest of things... therefore it becomes kind of challenging instead of relaxing! I hope the day will come when I can knit and chat or watch TV at the same time!:) xxx

Hey, I'm so happy you like my "bits" I stuffed into your package. The fibre is just fibre. Do what you want with it. The most of it is Romney wool, the shiny super fantastic fibre is Mohair. Have fun!
