Yep I love summer but 35 degrees everyday for three weeks will test the resolve of most. As soon as the sun goes down, it's lovely but while it's up it's draining. Our pigs hate the summer way more than us. They eat less and they limit their movement. Here is a picture of Loretta and Sugar cuddled up to a cold pack that we keep in their house. They rarely leave their cooled down tiled area and they even have their own personal pig fan.
Their favourite summer fruits are nashi and watermelon - much the same as me but I also love peaches.
Please no more comments about the pigs. Babies, guinea pigs and tiny tiny apartments are not a good match - ever!

I think I want to come back as a guinea pig to a caregiver as nice as you.
(And for those raising concerns about pets and babies: I'm sure that Kat will make sure that she bathes Sugar and Loretta before she lets the baby put them in his/her mouth.)

You are such a good pig momma! What spoiled babies!
I was told a Giant Schnauzer puppy, an African Grey parrot, 3 ferrets, two rats, a new baby, and a tiny apartment were not a good match, but we did it and it was fine. We had a lot of fun and no one got sick, injured, or ignored.

Now those are some spoiled (but not rotten) piggies. I assume this weather is not so conducive to snuggling them, but it's a bit cooler here, where I am, so I'm sorely tempted.

how do you like having pigs? Are they better in pairs? My husband and I have been thinking about getting one (or 2)
any words of wisdom?

I hope you have a cooled down area to hang out in, too! This summer has been SO hot, but I always think, "this is definitely the hottest summer ever!" Good luck staying cool and comfortable with Dudley.

I know just how they feel! Is there room under there for one more? Well, more like one and a quarter...

poor little piggies...that is such a funny photo. Is your baby feeling better now?

Ahhh... they are so cute!
35 degree heat was tiring, but now I'm back in England, where we are having the worse summer in history - it has rained everyday since I got back :(
